- Needs to be typed, typically on a white 8.5 x 11-inch paper.
- Double-space the text and use a legible, professional type (like Times New Roman or Arial). The font size should be 12 pt.
- Leave only one space after periods and other punctuation marks.
- On the upper hand corner of the first page, list your full name, your instructor's name, the course, and date.
- One the upper right hand corner, type your last name and starting on the second page, type your last name and page number.
- Do not italicize, bold, or underline the title unless otherwise noted and/or it is absolutely necessary (but most times it is not!)
2) Definitely vs. Defiantly:
- Definitely: without doubt, certainly, surely, undoubtedly (used for emphasis)
- Defiantly: boldly resistant or challenging, in a rebellious manner
- Use 'definitely' when emphasizing something that has absolute certainty.
- Use 'defiantly' when expressing an action done in a rebellious manner.

4) Comma Splices
What are they/Why are they wrong?
- They are run-on sentences caused by connecting two main/independent clauses together.
How can you fix them?
- There are 4 main ways to fix them:
- Split it into 2 sentences with a period. *Don't forget to capitalize!*
- Add a coordinating conjunction with your comma
- FANBOYS
- Add a semicolon
- Add a subordinate conjunction (look at the list below)
